We the Christian people of this country have settled for weak in doctrine, faint hearted, church leadership. Many of the men leading the church in America today are more concerned with losing their 501 3 c standing than preaching the truth and standing firmly and boldly against the vile and evil things that go on un-mitigated in this country that as a "Christian" nation we should not tolerate. This weak leadership has been passed on to those in the pews where luke warm, tickle my ear, easily offended by the truth men sit with their families to hear a feel good message that does nothing to bring them along spiritually from milk to meat. It is deplorable, for example, when a church deacon board will not take an overt stand on such things as the murder of the unborn and other sensitive issues like mens and womens roles in the church and modesty, actually restricting a pastors from speaking on these things. The men that lead the church in America need to get hot for the Lord and His truth and speak it lovingly to their congregations and have the guts to get involved in standing against the evils being perpetrated in this country that God tells us to stand against. They need to lead the men and their families in their congregations out of the pews and into the streets sharing the Gospel and fighting against things like unborn child assasination on demand. Deacon boards and elder boards that sheepishly lead a church body are an abomination and their luke warmness and political correctness is despicable. Pastors need to stand up to these boards or find another congregation that wants to hear God's truth without the politically correct filter being applied to make every one feel good so they'll stay in the pews and keep on giving so the church can build that new rec center addition. The church is weakening from this watered down preaching and shrinking in that while there may be more people in the pews, fewer are really fruit bearing, authentic Christians. God tells us to "quit ye like men" so lets get with it church leaders, deacons, elders and pastors and get fired up to do whats right without fear or hesitation and forget about political correctness or whether some one will be offended by God's word. The truth will offend and hurt and convict and that is good so we can mature and grow in our Christian devotion and walk.
May God raise up godly men to lead the church in America and get it turned around.
